On This Day - April 21, 1994. The Fokker F28-1018 Fellowship VH-FKD operated its final revenue service when it flew Sydney - Hobart - Melbourne. It was then withdrawn from service and stored at Melbourne (Tullamarine) awaiting sale, having flown 57,600 hours and 58,938 cycles. It was not sold and was broken-up on-site on November 21, 1995 - the first Ansett jet to be scrapped. |
