The Qantas Airways Boeing 747-238B(SCD) VH-ECC 'City of Shepparton' operated its final revenue service as Flight QF567 from Cairns to Sydney (Kingsford Smith). It was then withdrawn from use and prepared for its ferry flight to the United States for long-term storage.

The REX Regional Express Airlines SAAB 340B VH-EKX, having been acquired from Kendell Airlines, was rolled-out at Albury in the airline's standard livery.

The Qantas Airways Boeing 767-338ER VH-OGL operated its last service in the Australian Airlines livery, as Flight QF824 from Brisbane to Darwin. It was then ferried from Darwin to Beijing (China) later that day as Flight QF6015 for repainting into the standard Qantas livery.
