The Ansett Airlines Douglas DC-9-31 VH-CZD was rolled out at Melbourne (Tullamarine) in the Air Vanuatu livery. This aircraft had been selected to be the 'flagship' aircraft of the new airline to be known as Air Vanuatu, after Ansett had entered into an agreement with the Vanuatu Government to provide airline services for this small Pacific nation.

The Qantas Airways Boeing 767-338ER VH-OGL 'City of Wangaratta' operated its last service as Flight QF515 from Brisbane to Sydney (Kingsford Smith). It was then ferried to Sydney (RAAF Richmond) as Flight QF6111 for repainting into the Australian Airlines livery, in preparation for its lease to Australian Airlines Pty Ltd.

The Qantas Freight / Express Freighters Australia Airbus A321-231P2F VH-ULD arrived at Perth, having completed its delivery flight from Singapore (Seletar) as Flight QF7300, where it had been painted into the Qantas 'Silver Roo' livery before its delivery. It will be operated by Qantas Freight / Express Freighters on behalf of Australia Post.
