The Air New Zealand Board approves the purchase of eight airframes - August 05, 2004 Four aircraft would be owned by airline and four aircraft would be leased from ILFC This aircraft was owned by ILFC Rolled out of the production hangar at Everett (Paine Field) - September 03, 2006 First flown from Everett (Paine Field) - October 03, 2006 Powered by Rolls Royce Trent 892 engines Entered onto the New Zealand Aircraft Register as ZK-OKG - October 13, 2006 Registered to Air New Zealand Limited, Auckland Accepted by International Lease Finance Corporation at Everett (Paine Field) - October 19, 2006 Leased to Air New Zealand as the registered operator - October 20, 2006 Departed Everett (Paine Field) on the delivery flight to New Zealand as NZ6390 - October 20, 2006 It arrived at Auckland on completion of the delivery flight - October 21, 2006 Operated its first revenue service Auckland - Brisbane as NZ135 - October 25, 2006 This aircraft was sold by ILFC to Air New Zealand - January 14, 2011 Repainted into the black/white 'Silver Fern' livery - November 2018 Operated its last revenue service Honolulu (21:33 local) - Auckland (05:26 local) as NZ9 - March 20, 2020 It was withdrawn from service and stored at Auckland due to the Covid19 pandemic Current with Air New Zealand |
