Operational problems were experienced with a number of N. S. W. country airstips in the form of pavement cracking

The Viscount was replaced by Airspeed Ambassadors on a number of these country routes

Leased to Trans-Australia Airlines - December 09, 1957 to January 1958

Leased to Trans-Australia Airlines . - April 1958 to October 1958

Transferred to Ansett-ANA when Butler Air Transport was taken over - September 1958

Reregistered VH-RMP - August 06, 1962

Operated its final Ansett-ANA service Devonport - Wynyard - Melbourne (Essendon) as AN125 - September 04 , 1967

Withdrawn from service and stored at Melbourne (Essendon) Airport on this day

A major structural crack was found in the wing and the aircraft was permanently grounded

It had flown 24,161 hours with 20,439 cycles to date

Used by Essendon Fire Department before being scrapped at Melbourne (Essendon) Airport - May 25, 1969

Cancelled from the Australian Aircraft Register - December 21, 1969
