The aircraft remained stored at Camden (New South Wales) where it had been parked since its arrival on December 14, 1974. The airline assisted in the restoration of the aircraft, thus preventing its demise. |

The Virgin Australia Boeing 737-7FE VH-VBY 'Kingston Beach' was ferried from Townsville to Melbourne (Tullamarine) as Flight DJ9072 following its repainting by Flying Colours into the 'Virgin Australia' livery. It was the 1st Boeing 737-700 to be repainted. It returned to service later that day operating Flight DJ813 from Melbourne (Tullamarine) to Sydney (Kingsford Smith). |
